It gives me immense pleasure to inform you that the department of Dance is organsing a U.G.C. Sponsored Two Days National Workshop on the topic “ Shingar Rass and Bhakti Rass in Kathak” by some eminent guru in the month of January, 2013. You are requested to send an advance copy of your paper (one hard copy and one soft copy) along with full length paper by 29th December, 2012. Some suggested Sub Themes for the paper are :-

1. Real meaning of Dance

2. Relationship of Classical Dance and Music

3. Shingar Rass & Bhakti Rass in Music

4. Shingar & Bhakti Rass in various classical dances

5. Nayikas in different periods of history

6. Tradition of Guru Shishya Parampara

7. Relationship of Dance & Fine Arts

8. Relationship between Dance & Literature (Hindi, English, Punjabi)

9. Place of Sufi aspect in Kathak

Guidelines for the paper

1. Work should be original and unpublished.

2. Length of full paper should be about 2000 words, 12 font size, MS Word in single spacing.

4. Hard and soft copy of full length paper should be submitted along with the registration fee of Rs. 350/- by demand draft in favour of ‘Principal, PCM S.D.College for Women, Jalandhar.

5. You can write in any language.

It gives me immense pleasure to inform you that Fashion Designing Department of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar is going to publish a Journal. You are requested to send the papers by 20th May 2012. The topic for Journal is ‘Inspiration, Design Development Trends and Technology in Fashion’.

Guide line of the papers

1. Work should be original and unpublished.

2. Length of paper should be about 2000 words.

3. Research Methodology should be followed.

4. The draft of Rs. 300/- in favour of Principal, PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar should be sent along with the paper otherwise the paper will not be considered for approval.
