The main endeavor of college placement cell is to get students placed in reputed multinationals, government jobs, NGO’s and the private sector. All registered students with this cell are entitled to placement assistance, counseling for employment and even self employment. The cell assures support to the visiting companies at every stage of the placement process by making the college infrastructure available to them. The placement cell also conducts seminars and workshops to enable the students of to become successful professionals.

Placement Cell in co-ordination with Career Launchers organized a workshop on Group Discussion. Students of BCA III and B.Com III, II were given tips on Group Discussion. A mock G.D. on ‘should live in relationships be legalized?’ was conducted by Mrs. Shaveta, Mr. Shaminder and Ms. Shupti of Career Launchers.

Our students of B.Com III (Prof.), B.Com II (Prof.) and BCA III participated in a mock test organized by Career Launchers in their own premises. Pranika student of B.Com III (Prof.) got scholarship of Rs. 5000 and gold medal.
Tamana of B.Com II (Prof.) got a scholarship of Rs. 3000/- and a silver medal. Kirti got Rs. 2500 and a medal, Ankita of BCA III got scholarship of Rs. 3000/- and a silver medal
IBM Daksh visited the college campus for placement of students as executive (operations) under the package of Rs. 1.80 lakhs to 2.10 lakhs. There were two phases of the interview- Interview and assessment round. Eight students were selected:

A lecture on “Scope of Indian Courses in New Zealand” was delivered by Mr.Sahil from the University of New Zealand. He guided the students about the way to go for admission in prestigious New Zealand Colleges.
A career guidance programme by Career Icon a unit of Dream Weavers Jalandhar was organized in the college campus. Their Head Mrs. Paramjit Kaur guided the students and gave them tips on how to choose their career. Students of B.Com (Prof.) III, BBA III & BBA II attended the same. The company organized an aptitude test for the students.
A meet of Jalandhar employment exchange was held in which incharges of placement cells of various colleges participated. District employment generation training officer Mrs. Sangeeta Eri and employment generation and training officer Sd. Gurmail singh co-presided over the meeting.
Mrs. Sangeeta felt the need of youth to be employed in defense, UPSC & Staff selection commission. But sadly the decline was because of lack of awareness and information regarding these Services. There is need to motivate the students for the same. Prof. Anoop Vats and Prof. Sareen and lecturers from various colleges attended the meet.

An online aptitude test was taken by Career Icon, Jalandhar. 67 students appeared for the same. The result will be declared later on and students who get positions will be awarded prizes.
An online aptitude test was conducted by US based Co-Genpact in the college premises. 120 students appeared for the same. After the test, the students appeared for telephonic interview.The result will be declared on 6th Feb. 2012.
